This week, we progressed with our stories using the Our Time data compiled by our tutor, Sarah Waterson. Once we had decided on a narrative, we would then use this data to create appropriate graphs in Tableau.
Continue reading “Week 8: Our Time Exercise: Make A Story”This weeks tutorial focused on brainstorming ideas using the MyTime data collected from previous weeks. In groups of 3, we discussed how we could use the data to create a narrative for the next 2 assessments. Below is the initial brainstorm of my ideas.


Progressing with the unit, we have successfully put together a MyTime spreadsheet detailing what each student has accomplished over a 7 day period. This was done through carefully considered categories and activities to ensure the most accurate data for each student. In this weeks class, we worked on this data to create a Gantt chart.

This weeks tutorial involved continuing to work with Tableau’s tools. With air pollution becoming an increasing problem in todays climate, we created visualisations to accurately depict where the trouble was presenting itself the most. Below are three data visualisations which I have created to tell three different stories concerning air pollution around the world.

This week we continued our work with the previous processed data by adding a compass through a Pivot Table, as well as creating a chart for easy readability.
